Abstract:
Preliminary, approximate 100-year flood boundary as defined by the inundation model. Some areas of the floodplain are designated as being potentially protected (cut off) from flooding by structures such as highways, railroads, and levees.
Purpose:
The inundation polygons illustrate the approximate area of inundation during the peak of a 100-year flood event. This boundary can be used as a tool to guide floodplain development. It is not intended to be used for the development of flood insurance rates.
